- Capitula Campaign Configuration (Shopify App) – Terms of Service
Service Description
The Capitula Campaign Configuration app provides affiliate tracking for Shopify merchants, including click tracking (CPC), lead tracking (CPL), and conversion tracking (CPA).
Merchant Responsibilities
By installing the app, merchants agree to:
- Enable the app in their Shopify theme (Online Store → Customize → App embeds)
- Comply with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Inform customers about affiliate tracking in their store’s privacy policy
- Ensure proper consent is obtained where required by law
Data Processing
Merchants grant us permission to process order data (totals, transaction IDs) and form submissions (email addresses) for affiliate tracking purposes. Data is transmitted to the Capitula tracking platform in real-time.
Service Availability
We strive to maintain 99% uptime but are not liable for tracking failures, data transmission errors, or downtime of third-party services (Capitula API, geolocation services).
Liability
We are not responsible for:
- Lost affiliate commissions due to tracking failures
- Incorrect tracking data caused by customer browser settings or ad blockers
- Third-party service outages (Capitula API, Heroku, etc.)
Termination
Uninstalling the app immediately stops all data processing. No refunds are provided for partial months.
Updates
We may update the app or these terms with notice. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
